Today we hired our first Project Cataloging Assistant! Kate Swisher has accepted our offer for a full-time position with the CLIR French Pamphlet Project.
Kate was a finalist for another position in our department but, because of her French language skills, we decided we should talk with her about our position as well. During the summers of 2007 and 2008, Kate worked as in intern at the Newberry and even did some inventory work with the Saint-Sulpice Collection that will be cataloged through this CLIR grant.
Kate will begin on February 1.
